The internal hidden damages such as hidden cracks, broken grids, virtual soldering, black cores, and PID attenuation in photovoltaic modules are important causes of the decline in power generation and frequent occurrence of hot spot faults. These defects cannot be recognized by the naked eye from the outside of the module and can only be visually detected internally through electroluminescent EL imaging technology. For a long time, traditional EL detection equipment has mostly been able to operate at night or in dimly lit dark rooms. The equipment is bulky, cumbersome to deploy, and has a long detection cycle, making it difficult to meet the practical needs of large-scale on-site inspections in large power plants. Based on years of technological accumulation in the photovoltaic testing industry, Shanghai LAILX has launched the LXG30 portable EL detector, which overcomes the problem of strong light detection during the day and achieves lightweight, all-weather, and high-efficiency non-destructive testing of internal defects in components, providing a powerful technical weapon for quality control of photovoltaic power plants. The LXG30 portable EL detector relies on the mature principle of electroluminescence imaging to apply forward excitation current to photovoltaic modules, excite the battery cells to generate near-infrared luminescence signals, and capture imaging with a high-sensitivity infrared industrial camera. It intuitively presents the internal state of the battery cells, accurately identifies more than ten types of internal faults such as hidden cracks, fragments, virtual welding, broken grids, black cores and edges, sintered mesh patterns, PID attenuation, and low efficiency battery cells. Even tiny cracks at the 0.1 millimeter level can be clearly imaged, effectively avoiding the problems of missed or false detections in ordinary detection equipment and providing intuitive and reliable image basis for component quality judgment. The product is equipped with a high pixel near-infrared CMOS imaging system, paired with a professionally customized optical lens, which has high imaging clarity and strong detail expression. It supports fast imaging of a single component and synchronous shooting of multiple components, meeting the needs of batch detection of groups. The equipment innovation is equipped with an intelligent light control adaptive system, an ambient light sensor, and a self-developed strong light suppression algorithm. It does not require the construction of a shading shed and can obtain high-quality EL images even in the noon sunlight environment. It completely breaks the industry shackles of traditional EL equipment that can only work at night, effectively extends the daily effective working time, and greatly improves the efficiency of on-site detection work.

Portability is the core design highlight of LXG30. The entire system includes an infrared imaging host, a programmable excitation power supply, a lightweight carbon fiber tripod, and a large capacity lithium battery. All accessories are stored in a shock resistant and wear-resistant protective box, and the overall weight is lightweight. It can be transported and relocated by a single person's hand or backpack. After storage, the tripod has a compact size and can be assembled and debugged in just 5 minutes, without the need for multiple workers to work together. Whether it is high-rise industrial and commercial roofs, narrow residential photovoltaic roofs, or ground power stations with inconvenient transportation such as mountains and hills, it can be quickly deployed for testing. The whole machine shell is made of impact resistant engineering plastic with a protection level of IP64. It has the characteristics of dust and rain resistance, high and low temperature resistance, and can easily cope with various harsh outdoor environments such as northwest sandstorms, coastal salt spray, and southern humid and rainy weather. It breaks away from the limitation of traditional desktop EL devices that can only be used in laboratory rooms and truly achieves out of the box and anywhere testing.
The device is equipped with a large capacity rechargeable lithium battery, which does not require external power supply. It can work continuously for a long time in the field, meeting the requirements of large-scale power plant batch testing tasks. Supporting WIFI wireless remote control, staff can remotely control camera shooting and power on/off through tablets and mobile phones, stay away from high-voltage components, avoid electric shock risks, and further improve on-site operation safety. Single component imaging only takes a few seconds, coupled with LAILX's self-developed intelligent image analysis system, defect recognition can be completed in a short period of time, and preliminary detection reports can be output, significantly improving the overall efficiency compared to traditional portable EL devices. Taking a hundred megawatt level ground power station as an example, LXG30 can achieve the detection of hundreds of components in a single day, greatly reducing the overall station inspection cycle and compressing labor and time costs. The collected image files can be saved locally or exported quickly, making it convenient for later archiving and reviewing, compiling project acceptance data, and preserving visual evidence for quality disputes and fault tracing.

The current LXG30 portable EL detector has a wide range of application scenarios, covering component factory sampling, project arrival acceptance, power station grid connection testing, operation and maintenance stage fault troubleshooting, outdoor empirical experiments of components, etc. It is suitable for main current products such as monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, double glass components, and half sheet components. As a representative of domestically produced portable EL detection equipment, LAILX balances product performance and after-sales service, providing complete operation training, free firmware upgrades, and fast after-sales response to address users' concerns after purchasing. In the current rapid development of the photovoltaic industry, internal defect detection of components is an important part of ensuring the long-term stable income of power plants. The LXG30 portable EL detector, with its comprehensive advantages of all-weather operation, lightweight deployment, and high-definition and accurate imaging, helps the photovoltaic industry achieve full process quality control and promotes photovoltaic operation and maintenance towards high efficiency and intelligence.
