High definition AI intelligent detection of hidden cracks, Suzhou LAILX LXG50 portable EL detector reshapes the non-destructive testing experience of photovoltaic modules

Defects such as hidden cracks, virtual soldering, broken grids, PID decay, etc. inside photovoltaic modules are invisible faults to the naked eye, which will gradually cause success rate decay, hot spots, shorten the service life of the modules, and reduce the overall power generation revenue of the power station. EL electroluminescence detection is the core means of identifying such internal defects. Traditional EL detection equipment commonly suffers from pain points such as the need to set up shading tents, bulky equipment, difficulty in focusing, and long manual interpretation time. Faced with complex sites such as mountains, rooftops, and complementary fishing and light, the operational efficiency is greatly reduced. Suzhou Laikesi LAILX has launched the LXG50 portable EL detector, which relies on core technologies such as high-sensitivity infrared imaging, full-time autofocus, AI intelligent defect recognition, and daytime measurability to break the environmental limitations of traditional EL detection, achieve lightweight and high-efficiency non-destructive testing of components, and bring a new choice for photovoltaic quality inspection and operation and maintenance work. The imaging capability is the core of the EL detector. The LXG50 is equipped with a full frame industrial grade CMOS infrared chip, paired with a 17mm 95 degree wide-angle lens, and has 30 million level infrared imaging pixels with an imaging accuracy greater than 0.2mm/pixel. It can capture fine cracks with a width of less than 0.2 microns, clearly identify hidden cracks, fragments, virtual soldering, broken grids, sintering defects, PID attenuation, inefficient battery cells and more than ten other internal problems of components. The N-type high-efficiency half chip component detection scene also has excellent performance, and the defect recognition rate is significantly improved compared to traditional equipment. A single image can fully cover a whole photovoltaic component without the need for multiple shooting and splicing, reducing the workload of later image processing. The device is equipped with a patented full-time autofocus system, which does not require manual distance measurement or focusing. It can quickly focus on slopes and low light environments, completely solving the problem of long manual focusing time and image blur caused by inaccurate focusing in old equipment. It greatly reduces the threshold for on-site operation, and the detection of single components takes only 3-10 seconds, significantly improving work efficiency in Suzhou.

Unlike traditional EL devices that can only operate at night or in shaded sheds, the LXG50 is equipped with a daylight suppression imaging algorithm, which can directly carry out EL shooting under natural light conditions during clear days, without the need to transport or build heavy shaded tents, saving a lot of time for tent disassembly and storage. It truly achieves all-weather and anytime, anywhere detection, greatly expanding the application scenarios of outdoor detection. The whole machine adopts a lightweight integrated design, with integrated packaging of core components. The host is lightweight and can be stored in a portable protective box, which can be easily transported by a single person. Mountain power stations, factory roofs, water surface fishing photovoltaic power stations, and household distributed photovoltaics can all be easily reached for testing. The modular assembly design does not require special tools, and the whole machine can be set up and debugged in just a few minutes, quickly putting it into testing work. The programmable 2-in-1 detection power supply supports voltage output from 0-1500V and adjustable constant current from 0-10A. It has multiple safety protections such as short circuit, reverse current, and leakage. Power on and off can be wirelessly controlled through the APP to ensure the safety of personnel and component equipment. The large capacity lithium battery can support continuous shooting of hundreds of components when fully charged, meeting the needs of on-site inspection for a whole day.

The intelligent software system further unleashes the value of devices. The LXG50 is equipped with Android and IOS dual end AI APP detection software, which enables remote control of cameras and power supplies, real-time image feedback through high-speed WIFI wireless, and supports multiple mobile devices to connect simultaneously. One person can complete the entire process of setup, shooting, and defect detection. Built in AI defect recognition algorithm, automatically marks the location of defects after shooting, distinguishes defect types, and calculates defect levels, replacing traditional manual image by image interpretation, greatly reducing manual interpretation time and minimizing human errors and misjudgments. The software integrates GPS positioning, component barcode entry, and power station file management functions. Each EL image is bound with component numbers, point coordinates, and time information, and the detection data is synchronized and uploaded to the Laikesi Photovoltaic Cloud Platform. The cloud can double check the images and complete the power station modeling management. After the inspection is completed, a standardized inspection report will be automatically output with one click, including defect schematic diagrams, fault analysis, and rectification suggestions. The report format is suitable for EPC acceptance, operation and maintenance archiving, and third-party inspection report output requirements, and can be directly used for project data retention.

At present, the LXG50 portable EL detector is widely used in scenarios such as component factory sampling, power station arrival acceptance, pre grid quality inspection, annual operation and maintenance inspection, fault component diagnosis, and third-party testing and evaluation. In the face of the accelerated iteration speed of photovoltaic modules and the widespread popularity of N-type modules, higher standards have been proposed for internal defect detection. The LAILX LXG50 portable EL detector combines high-definition imaging, portable deployment, and AI intelligent analysis to solve multiple industry pain points in traditional EL detection, help inspection and maintenance units reduce costs and increase efficiency, timely discover internal hidden dangers of modules, safeguard the long-term power generation revenue of photovoltaic power plants, and promote the continuous development of domestic photovoltaic non-destructive testing technology.
