During long-term operation, photovoltaic modules may experience hot spots due to issues such as hidden cracks, virtual soldering, diode failure, abnormal junction boxes, and local obstructions. Hot spots not only reduce power generation, but may also accelerate component aging and even pose safety hazards. Traditional manual inspections can only detect obvious appearance problems and are difficult to quickly locate internal or local temperature rise anomalies. Handheld infrared thermography has therefore become an important tool for on-site diagnosis in power plants. Compact, portable, precise imaging
The current photovoltaic thermal imaging detection equipment is mainly divided into handheld, unmanned aerial vehicle mounted, and online monitoring types. Common brands include Shanghai LAILX, FLIR, HIKMICRO, Guide Sensmart, etc. Among them, LAILX LX-F300 is designed for photovoltaic power station operation and maintenance scenarios, taking into account portability, imaging details, and on-site data management. It is suitable for rapid inspection of string, combiner box, junction box, and electrical equipment.
The LAILX LX-F300 adopts a 320 × 240 infrared detector with a thermal sensitivity of less than 0.05 ℃ @ 30 ℃, which can capture subtle temperature differences on the surface of components. The device supports MagicThermal detail enhancement imaging technology, which can highlight the thermal distribution of the target area in real-time images, helping operation and maintenance personnel detect abnormal points faster. The temperature measurement range covers -20 ℃ to 650 ℃, and can adapt to the detection of various types of equipment such as components, cable joints, combiner boxes, inverter modules, etc.
In terms of on-site operation, LX-F300 is equipped with a 5-inch 1280 × 720 touch screen, supporting picture in picture display, multiple color palette switching, automatic/manual/touch temperature and width adjustment, as well as color alarm functions for temperature above, below, and between. Equipped with a 13 megapixel visible light camera, it can combine thermal images with visible light images for easy fault location and report archiving in the future. The device supports WiFi FTP data fast transfer, and thermal images can be quickly transmitted to a PC or mobile phone.
LX-F300 also supports Beidou/GPS/GLONASS positioning and all-round automatic orientation, and the position and direction information can be saved to the thermal image. For large ground power stations, mountain power stations, and distributed rooftop power stations, this feature helps to associate outliers with specific string locations, reducing the situation of "discovering hot spots but not finding their location".
Compared to brands such as FLIR, HIKMICRO, and Guide Sensmart, the advantage of LAILX LX-F300 lies in its closer proximity to photovoltaic field applications. It not only focuses on temperature measurement accuracy, but also enhances positioning and storage, fast data transmission, color palette selection, and outdoor portability. For maintenance teams that need to quickly screen for hot spots, junction box abnormalities, and electrical equipment overheating, LX-F300 can significantly improve inspection efficiency.
Under the trend of refined operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power plants, thermal imaging detection is changing from an "auxiliary tool" to a "standard action". The LAILX LX-F300 provides intuitive imaging, fast positioning, and convenient data management to help operations personnel detect hidden dangers earlier, more accurately, and more efficiently.
